Things to do for the Halloween

It’s almost Halloween and I have no plans yet. Many Filipinos don’t even bother celebrating the occasion after all, but the thing is I used to go to costume parties when I was a kid, the last of which was when I was 6 years old.

So what are some of the things that are cool to do during the Halloween?

1. Attend a Halloween dance party
While Halloween parties are quite uncommon in the Philippines, there are still some who sponsor Halloween dance parties (with grown-up costumes, not the childish ones). These dance parties are good if you want to meet new acquaintances. Just remember to choose one which is safe and try to bring along your friends since parties like these are full of strangers. There is actually one on-going right now at the World Trade Center as I am writing this post.

2. Watch a spooky movie with friends
Invite your friends to your house and watch a spooky movie. Popular choices include Freddie vs. Jason and also Jeepers Creepers. Just make sure that you don’t have school or work the next day because you probably won’t fall asleep the whole night.

3. Go home to the province
If you are really serious in experiencing horror and terror this Halloween, go to provinces which are known to have supernatural sightings. I’m sure you’ll have a different and quite exotic experience. LOL.

4. Visit your deceased lost loved ones
Well, this one would be nice. Aside from getting to meet long lost relatives you’d also be able to chat along with some new friends.

So, what will you be doing this Halloween? I guess for me, I’ll be doing 2 and 4.
