Nike Shoes and Sports Apparels For Less

If you’re a sports enthusiast and happen to go over Dasmariñas through Aguinaldo Highway in Cavite, you may want to stop by Dasca Sports Outlet.

Once you’re there, the first thing that will strike you is the sign of their 30% markdown on all items. What’s good is it’s not just for a limited time but offered all year-round.

I’ve been wanting to see the sports boutique after I heard about it from a colleague last March. After passing by to this particular store several times, I finally had the chance to pay visit and roam inside.

Be ready with their racks of Nike shoes. Many choices on display including Air Jordan shoes and old stocks from the warehouse of Nike Philippines all in good condition. Price ranges from 700 to 4,000 Pesos. Not bad for an original Nike item. You better start checking it out before it becomes out of stock (they also have a branch in Bicutan by the name MJ46 Center). Most shoes are already in last pair.

I was tempted to buy one even if I’m not a big basketball fan. I’ve been looking for something to replace my old rubber shoes. Disappointing though because I have small feet. They only have sizes 9 to 12.

Wait, there’s more. Dasca Sports Outlet also cater jerseys, bags, jackets, Nike Golf polo shirts, visors, Pacman/Pride tees, slip-ons and other sports gears. They got stuff for women too. Take a look at the gallery below and click each photo to zoom.

Aside from Nike, they promote their outlet as a retailer of Adidas and Asics brands. However, I noticed very few Adidas products around the area.

In case you don’t find an item you want, try to go back every after two or three weeks. They’ll fill the store with new stocks by that time. The last time I went there, new shoes were already on display.

I don’t get easily persuaded with discounts since I’m still after the comfort, quality and style. But I spotted a nice green Mojo flip-flops and bought a pair as an advance birthday gift for myself.

Sebago Trend Docksides Men’s Shoes

The shoes from Sebago are not your ordinary shoes. The brand is known for handsewn shoes and if you take a look at their newest Trend Docksides Limited Edition Men’s Shoes, you will definitely say that it is elegance at its finest.

Elegance, indeed. You see, I recently learned that the folks from Sebago are launching limited editions of shoes quarterly. And when they say “limited”, they really mean it. As a matter of fact, only 24 pairs of these shoes exist per store across the 3 dashing styles. Click on each photo below to zoom.

So what’s the big deal with limited edition, you ask. It is the fact that you will rarely see another person wearing exactly the same pair of shoes. And if you are a trendsetter and a style-hunter, grabbing limited edition products should be your mission.

The big question is how much is a pair? Well, they are not cheap. This elite shoe costs Php 7,990 and are available only while stocks last at Sebago SM Mall of Asia and Hideout at Greenbelt 5.

Just an added FYI. This new limited collection from Sebago are actually modern boat shoes – shoes that are typically worn by sailors which can repel water. But through the years, it has become a fashionable footwear for men. It became a trend years back and we are seeing its return once again. I’d be excited to wear a shoe like this at the office, casual occasions and even on dates.

Skateboarding + Men’s Fashion

Skateboarding is a sport I never learned. But given the chance I want to learn it. I work at Fort Bonifacio and if you have also been in that area, you would say that it is perfect for skateboarders. As a matter of fact, skateboarders flood around the area throughout the day.

Speaking of skateboarding and men’s fashion, I’ve noticed people, most especially guys, who are wearing skateboarders’ clothes. Some are actual skateboarders, some are enthusiasts and fans and others for the sake of style. There are many stores at the Fort which offer clothes for that skateboarder look but the most popular one that we have in the metro is Zoo York. Click the image below to see their latest collection.

Now given the fact that I see skateboarders everyday at work, I won’t deny that I envy them. I wish I could skateboard like this. It must feel this good and exciting…

Crocs Almost Barefoot (ABF) Men’s Collection

I bet that when you see sandals or footwear which look like the one on the left (that is, with holes), you will surely say: “Those are Crocs…”.

The clog with holes from Crocs is what made them famous. It has been there for quite sometime and it has become something like a “trademark” to them. I must admit that they look good and unique but as time passes by, I noticed that some people have outgrown that clog design which nowadays looks better on kids than on most adults.

But the good news is that for stylish people like most of us, Crocs has released a new collection of comfortable footwear called the ABF (Almost Barefoot) collection. I was fortunate enough to be invited by Crocs to be one of the guests at the ABF launching event which was held last week at Enchanted Kingdom Biki Water World. I will talk more about the event later, but for now, take a peek at the photo gallery below for the latest from Crocs. You might want to get yourself a pair!

SS10 Men’s Collection

My personal favorites would be the black one from Almost Barefoot (Men’s) and the black/yellow flip-flop just right above this text from the SS10 collection. They are the BESTEST!

And about the launching event? Well it was a blast! I went there with a very good friend of mine and we had a great time. There was a Crocs fashion show, an exhibit of the latest ABF footwear collection, a raffle, buffet, photo booth, games and free access to EK Biki Water World facilities. Oh did I mention that the Velasco Brothers, a finalist from Pilipinas Got Talent, was also at the Crocs event? Yeah, you read that right! They performed their acrobatic dance moves right in front of us and it was superb. Everyone’s jaw dropped during their performance and we found ourselves clapping to a standing ovation in pure awe! And about the photo booth, this is what you call vain moments. But I just had to crop my friend off for her own privacy.

Cushe Footwear arrives just in time for summer

Last Friday, I was invited to the launching of a new UK-based footwear brand named Cushe (pronounced as cushy). They seem to be a promising brand and it’s good that they arrived just in time for summer.

Their product launching was held in Trinoma and it featured bands, graffiti artists and so much more. I was there and I had a glimpse of the event as well as their product line.

Cushe’s product line includes outstanding shoes and sandals. Check out a few of them below:

Perhaps Cushe’s top of the line product which is currently available is their Manuka Fearless Sandals. They come in different colors. The one I have below is the Neon Carbon color variant which is a sure stand out. It feels comfortable to wear and it makes you feel like you’re feet is on a cradle. Just check out the design plus the molded outsoles on the edge.

And just in case you were wondering, the pair comes with a free hanger (the orange thing on the right). That hanger is actually a boomerang too. You can play with it when you are on the beach or resort with your family and friends this summer.

Nike Free 5.0 v4

I have been eyeing this shoe for the longest time now so when I saw the 2009 Nike Free on sale, I didn’t think twice and I immediately bought it. Who would think that this dashing pair of shoes would be at 40% off?

Wear it for running
I guess it’s true that the Nike Free is built for running. It felt so comfortable wearing it that I felt like I wasn’t even wearing a shoe. (Nike mentions that you will feel like running on barefoot). This one is a must-buy for you if you like joining fun runs, running half an hour or more at the gym’s treadmill or even if you are just walking as an exercise.

So have you ever wondered what the “5.0″ and “v4″ meant in Nike Free 5.0 v4? Well according to Nike, v4 means the 2009 version 4 while the 5.0 tells how soft the shoe is. According to Wikipedia which I quote below:

“The Nike shoe scale goes from 10.0 to 3.0 with a ’10′ being a fully supportive shoe, and ’0′ being completely barefoot.

Example: The 5.0 Nike Free is like running halfway barefoot, the 3.0 is even less shoe, and the 7.0 is a bit more supportive.”

Wear it to party
If you have been strolling by shops or even browsing mags lately, you will notice that bright colors are the most popular nowadays. That’s why I chose the color variant “Volt/Dark Army-White”. I wore this at our company’s Christmas party and I tell you that most of my collegues WOWed at the sight of it. I received numerous compliments for this shoe and I can say that I’m lovin’ it day in and day out.

PORTLAND / HERZOGENAURACH (OCTOBER 15, 2009) – adidas Basketball is launching a new campaign for the 2009-10 NBA season titled It’s On Me for My Brotherhood. The campaign, which launches October 15, celebrates the individuals of a Brotherhood and the contributions they make. It’s On Me for My Brotherhood shines the spotlight on two rising NBA stars, Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose, and how adidas Basketball footwear and apparel improves their performance therefore strengthening their Brotherhood.

“‘Celebrating Basketball as a Brotherhood’ has been widely successful for adidas. It hit home with the basketball-crazed consumer and we want to strengthen that relationship,” said Ryan Morlan, head of global communication for adidas basketball. “The ‘It’s On Me’ insight is a celebration of Brotherhood as told through the players that make it up. While the focus is still on Brotherhood, it’s a challenge to the individual to step up and be faster or stronger in order to improve the team.”

It’s On Me For My Brotherhood comes to life through an integrated marketing campaign that is digitally centric. The campaign will be housed at the updated www.adidasbasketball.com where consumers can experience six sharable product films featuring NBA All-Stars, interviews with each and behind the scenes footage from various adidas events. Online efforts also include the NBA, adidas, and EA Sports Become an NBA All-Star promotion, where fans have a chance to win the Ultimate NBA Experience and a trip to the 2010 NBA All-Star game in Dallas (for details on the promotion check out www.shopadidas.com). adidas also partnered with Eastbay.com to generate exclusive content including an online chat, taking place on October 28, with Rookie of the Year Derrick Rose. The digital initiatives will be supported with a special-effects driven TV spot featuring NBA stars Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard, Kevin Garnett, Chauncey Billups, Tim Duncan and Josh Smith.
