Levi’s Copper Jeans – Something to look forward to

by

I was walking near Glorietta this week. I had the chance to take a photo of a huge advertisement from Levi’s near the Oakwood Hotel in Makati. They were advertising Levi’s Copper jeans and indeed the pair of jeans were so big. Anyway sorry if it is really vague but I emphasized the giant jeans as shown in the above photo.

Anyway it has been a while since I last bought pants from Levi’s. The last one was still way back in 2002. I found out that Levi’s has a lot of competitors and their products soon ran out of style. But since they advertised Levi’s Copper Jeans I was very impressed that they are trying to update their style. It’s totally unique, classic but still very stylish – surely this ain’t cheap!

I can’t wait to see it. Here is the actual photo of the jeans as advertised in Levi’s website

KFC Orange Chicken – better than I thought!

by

My officemate once bought KFC’s orange chicken for lunch. First time I saw it, I didn’t actually like it. The rice was orange and I thought it was gross to have orange flavors on chicken. But I was WRONG.

Before going home last Wednesday, I went with friends for dinner. We we’re in a hurry that time since it’s the holidays here in the Philippines and we need to go home to the provinces. So our options for dinner were fastfood: Jollibee, McDonald’s, KFC etc. We felt however that we haven’t eaten in a while at KFC so we decided to go for it and finally I chose to eat the Orange Chicken.

I held my breath because I thought I wouldn’t like the flavor… but guess what? It’s so good! Some sort of unusual flavor. Think of sweet and sour plus add chicken then you have an idea of what I’m saying… lol :) Just better than I thought… I guess I’ll try it again next time.

Any of you tasted it? What do you think?

Guy Guide: Proper way to wear perfume

by

It would seem silly that I am posting a guy guide on the proper way to wear perfume. It’s like common sense right? But as a matter of fact we should never underestimate how putting on of perfume the wrong way could ruin your day!

My favorite Hugo Dark Blue as shown in Hugo.com

This is what happened to me last week. lol! I am so excited about my new perfume that I didn’t realize that I oversprayed it the whole day. You see it all started when I went to office in the morning. After putting on a very few drops I started to love the scent. Afterwards I passed by one of my officemates and she told me “Damn Chris you really smell great!”. To my excitement and much flattery I started to spray more drops of perfume about every two hours until five in the afternoon when I was about to go home. It was then that I realized that I oversprayed it because by the day’s end, I smelled like a barber shop! (I hope you know what I mean). The smell was just so strong. lol

Anyway after that experience here are some of the things that I would suggest when wearing your perfume:

1. Body sprays should be applied to pulse areas, neck and obviously your body. This is a good thing to do since our skin’s heat amplifies the scent of our perfume.

2. Avoid rubbing the scent on your palm. Let the perfume dry naturally on your skin to preserve the scent. Most perfumes lose their scent after rubbing so leave it to dry after spraying.

3. Avoid spraying on clothes. Aside from risking to stain your clothes it is difficult to remove the scent especially when you overspray it like what happened to me.

Follow these three simple steps when wearing your perfume. After all you don’t want to smell like a barbershop or do you? :)

Study: For women, there’s nothing like the smell of a man’s sweat

by

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not talking about bad odor that results from sweating. I’m talking about pheromones.

In case you didn’t know pheromones are substances that we release that is scientifically known to attract and even sexually arouse the opposite sex. These substances are usually released whenever we sweat.

According to the study researchers have found that people secrete a scent that influences the hormones of the opposite sex.

However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that girls like us to become sweaty and all. The bottomline here is that we should make use of our pheromones by putting on some perfume. The more a girl likes our smell, the greater is the chance that she would sniff these pheromones. Who knows? The girl of your dreams may get attracted to you instantly. After all smell counts a lot ;)

Movie of the moment: 300

by

I was able to watch 300 early last week. Well the movie was fantastic! It was very nice. I loved the adrenaline-rush fight scenes. Way back in highschool, the 300 Spartans led by Leonidas was one of the most memorable events I could remember in world history. Their courage is well admired by many.

While the fight scenes are very enjoyable for young people, I would like to comment on the characters in the movie. Though I know that this is based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel I didn’t like the way the Persians were portrayed. Monsters? Oh come on. Plus take a look at Xerxes. Is he gay or something? lol. In my opinion the Persians in this movie were complete FREAKS!!! The colors of the actual film were dull to. Perhaps the result of too much computer graphics.

But I still loved the movie just because of the fight scenes (which they made extra cool for the youth) and for the fact that I liked the story of Leonidas in world history back in Highschool. I still have some hangovers of the movie.

“Spartans prepare for Glory – Ahu! Ahu! Ahu!”. Coolness.

My Rating: 8/10

On my next post I’ll be putting up some trivia coming from Reuters.

Guy Guide: Watch of the moment

by

I went to Glorietta yesterday with my bunch of friends. We came to a watch store and found that gone are the days when guys wore watches like a typical young professional with rounded-shaped watches. The trend now is square-shaped watches as in this example. You see, if you’re into the latest trends and style, you need to update and go with the flow.

Watches these days especially for men tend to be bigger exactly like those on the front ones above. Moreover, if you notice the wrist band (whatever you want to call it), you would see that its width is a bit larger and symmetric throughout.

Leather watches are also becoming very common. So if you want to follow the trend, get a watch like this (costs around P 2500+ minimum). Oh and make sure its Quartz. Never ever buy digital watches coupled with rubber wrist bands – unless you would want to look and act like a kid. Modern day girls say its a huge turn off!

Artist of the Moment: Panic! @ the Disco

by

Pinoy Guy Guide’s Artist of the Moment is Panic! @ the Disco. Their type of song is somewhat pop-rock. I love their music!

Their current hit single is Lying is the most fun a girl can do without taking her clothes off is now a success here in the Philippines. If you read the lyrics of this song it’s mesmerizing. lol.

Excerpt of the lyrics: “I’ve got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a better fuck
Than any boy you’ll ever meet, sweetie you had me”

“Let’s get these teen hearts beating. Faster, faster
So testosterone boys and harlequin girls,
Will you dance to this beat, and hold a lover close?”

They’re a relatively new artist. Started around 2005. Originated from Nevada USA. A favorite among the youth today!
