PGG Mobile App (survey)

For the past year, we've made PGG mobile/tablet ready. But still I've been seeing a few requests for a PGG app.

As much as I want a PGG app, the truth is, it is costly to build one. In addition, developers like PGG will need to pay Google and Apple annual fees.

Please answer this survey to help us assess the feasibility of building an app.

1. What is your mobile OS? Android? iOS? Windows? Others?

2. If you were to choose, which of the following do you need most?

  • a PGG Blog App (that shows content from www.pinoyguyguide.com) -OR-
  • a PGG Forums App (that allows you to use the forums).

3. If you want both a PGG Blog and a PGG Forums app, do you want it to be a single PGG app? Or two separate apps?

4. Are you willing to support the PGG app by paying for it? How much are you willing to pay for the PGG app?

5. What features do you want in the PGG app?

1. What is your mobile OS? Android? iOS? Windows? Others?
-> Android/WP phone user, prefers the app to be in Android

2. If you were to choose, which of the following do you need most?
•a PGG Blog App (that shows content from www.pinoyguyguide.com) -OR-
•a PGG Forums App (that allows you to use the forums).
-> Can't we have them both? pareho kasing informative

3. If you want both a PGG Blog and a PGG Forums app, do you want it to be a single PGG app? Or two separate apps?
-> Better to have it in a single app

4. Are you willing to support the PGG app by paying for it? How much are you willing to pay for the PGG app?
-> Yes, usually siguru sa price range din ng common apps na makikita sa playstore

5. What features do you want in the PGG app?
-> To tag a blogpost as favorite so it can be read later, or such that it would appear to your favorites list

^^ thanks seanjulian, I appreciate the response.

Truth is, building mobile apps is pricier than I thought. Too costly. So I need to check if it is feasible to actually build and distribute one for both Android and iOS.

Yup medjo matrabaho nga din to maintain an app, I would also suggest the release be distributed per chunks or per modules para hindi ganun kabigat. And to also prioritize which platform to build first as per the demand, may working application na and ineenhance nalang eventually.
If this will be pushed through I'm willing to pay for this app (hindi nman siguro to aabot ng 5 digits diba?), this will become handy lalo na sa mga taong on-the-go kagaya ko.

^Di naman abot ng ganon haha! Thanks SeanJulian.

Anyway, I hope others reply to this thread too. Thanks.

windows user here... mga magkanu pala ang magagastos may maintenance pala.. mas ok isang app nalang

I'm experimenting with creating a native Android App for the PGG Forums. Anyone who is interested to see a preview? :)
