......if you're looking for a good laptop brand and affordable you will not go wrong with Toshiba and Dell laptops.....Sony, IBM and MAC are for high end users meaning expensive na at di praktikal pero same quality lang naman with Toshiba and Dell......for a laptop user like me I recommend those two brands (Toshiba and Dell).....ang importante naman ay ung specs like core 2 duo dpat ang processor tapos may 4Gb ang RAM tapos 500GB harddisk at may dedicated video card at least 1 GB ok na.....

.....piece of advice......in buying a laptop, the specifications comes first, second the retail price and the last is the brand......

for example, a core 2 duo 4GB RAM 500Gb Harddisk with Windows 7 pre-installed of Toshiba and Dell is equal to the price of core 2 duo 2GB 320GB with Windows 7 for Sony Vaio and IBM or with windows Mac for Apple. so in short, naka Apple ka nga or Sony tingnan mo naman ang specs..... ;D

agree. specs are much more important than brand, HOWEVER, customer support that the company provides is also important.
however, for me, the first thing you should decide on is the purpose of buying one. it maybe a good feeling to have saved bucks for
having a good deal on high end specs, but if you have no need for those, it becomes a useless investment (i.e. if you want a laptop for surfing, watching movies and stuff only, why buy core i7? ).

ur ryt..... 8) aanhin ang mamahalin....masabi lng sikat ung model ng laptop....in short   pabida.....hahahaha.....specs talaga dapat tinitignan muna...

ako i dont agree sa specs muna.
you can always get something out there that can meet the specs you need... but you always have to consider the "durability" and the after sales support which i think is more crucial. maganda nga at swak sa specs kung after 5 months, bumibigay na.. eh parang balewala na rin.

kasi may bagong labas na. that is to give way to their new products. ang lifespan na ngayon ng mga gadgets, in terms of their specs ay 16 months. after that, sure na may kapalit na.

I got a Dell. It was fine at first until my charger broke... Then i realized they hardwired it so that it won't accept any other charger. Waited 2 weeks for the charger to arrive....
So never again will I buy a Dell but I'm still happy of what I have right now.

......if you're looking for a good laptop brand (http://thebestlaptopbrands.com/) and affordable you will not go wrong with Toshiba and Dell laptops.....Sony, IBM and MAC are for high end users meaning expensive na at di praktikal pero same quality lang naman with Toshiba and Dell......for a laptop user like me I recommend those two brands (Toshiba and Dell).....ang importante naman ay ung specs like core 2 duo dpat ang processor tapos may 4Gb ang RAM tapos 500GB harddisk at may dedicated video card at least 1 GB ok na.....

Do you have any idea about 2013 laptop/laptop brand. Which one should i go for?

I want a macbook pro. Hehehe.

If you're just a basic user ng computer or laptop, why go for MacBook?
I believe Apple OS are more complicated than Microsoft.
If you will pay more than average sa isang item, and yet you can't maximize its usage, for me, it's not practical. :) just saying. haha

^wish lang naman eh. I actually use an Air as a personal laptop and a lenovo for work. I kind of always lean towards using the mac. Siguro the simplicity of it + my age and my not wanting things too complicated makes me.

Haha. Lenovo din gamit ko (work or personal). I can't use other laptop na walang trackpoint. I barely use the mouse any more or the touchpad.

Very oldschool yung trackpoint ah. Kala ko IBM notebooks lang meron nun. Hehe.
Kaso super higpit ng IT so hindi ko talaga nagagamit for personal use. Pangtrabaho lang talaga.

Lenovo acquired IBM's Thinkpad including trackpoint. :)

Hahaha.

Lol.

Every Mac user I know, kahit yung kasing clumsy ko, nagtatagal sa kanila like 4-5 years! Maliban na lang kung kinati silang mag-upgrade. But yeah. I'm happily stuck with Dell Inspiron. Solid naman.

Hello Rob,

So far, okay naman. By personal, I meant just web surfing, basic word and excel processing, watching movies. Walang games.
Ayun, it's still your choice. Medyo pricey talaga sya and you can get a better windows laptop with the price range. Pero yun nga, it's still your choice in the end that will matter. Ako kasi, ang main consideration ko ay ease of use at compatibility to my other mobile devices. Good luck!
