i'm currently into maison martin margiela's collection w/c i think suits me, compared to my other favorite rick owens but tend to be too runway. my .02 worth is you can't wear the whole rick owen ensemble if you don't live in a high fashion city like NY, tokyo, HK, paris...
i like them but it beats my wallet down to pulp... next best thing is to study the style and improvise by buying lower priced brands with the same texture and quality but still not traumatic to your savings :)

di rin ako slim... medyo athletic build ko but not like those tall and lean guys. 5'7 lang ako w/ a bit bigger legs dahil i ride the bike and sometimes run... malapad rin since focus work-out ko sa back... tama ka usually those clothes are made for the slimmer populace.
dinadaan ko na lang sa fit ng damit, my idea about finely dress man is that the clothes should compliment his built not to make it worst regardless man kung anong brand.... worst case is wearing a high end piece tapos di naman bagay sa nagsusuot. just flaunting it.

@hiei: Anu bng mgndang outfit for me.. Mascular ang katawan q at well proportioned pero hinde maugat. Above the recomended measurements na nang konti ang measurement ng katawan q e.g. chest, calves, arms, etc. (Sinukatan kase aq ng PT sa gym to see my measurements). Malaki dn ang legs q lalo na sa thigh at nakaumbok ung mga muscles above my knee. Malaki dn ang calf q. Me kurba ng onte ang bewang q na parang ganito..

wala namang cookie cutter solution for us dahil kada clothing company iba ang sukat ng damit... pansin ko rin some change their sizing like JCrew, maganda fit ng Medium nila pero ngayon nag-small ako minsan... kaya sukat lang ng sukat.... kung may brand na ok ang fit stick with it na lang.
same problem tayo esp sa jeans... mga slim fit ko medyo skinny na ngayon.. if i go size higher maluwag na nga sa thighs and calves pero super luwag sa waist.... sa shirt ganoon rin sakto sa chest and core pero putok sa sleeves... kung kuha ng size higher sakto sleeves but too baggy na sa katawan.
pero some brands ok ang slim size nila w/ seems to work w/ me... kaya un sukat lang ng sukat ang payo ko.... kasi too loose magmumukhang mataba.. kung super sikip parang suman... same with pants kung tama ang sukat mukhang punggok... the right silhouette makes you taller and slimmer.. kaya right sized clothes should compliment our physique.
pero mga type ng t-shirts? what best suits me? I like ung Henley-tshirt ng Oxygen.. hinde hussle sa braso..
Sa pants nmn eh i buy ung relax cut pero skinny ang dating nya sakn pg sinuot.. laki kase ng hita at mapapakanta ka na lang ng "Oh baby, put your hands on me in my SKIN-TIGHT JEANS. Be my teenage dream tonight." Kaso mejo malaki sa bewang so I just wear a leather belt kaso natutupi na ung jeans dahil sa liit ng bewang q.. (Mejo diet kase aq today kya mabilis na lumiliit ung bewang q.)
sa tshirt madali lng, i just go w/ longer short sleeves rather the shorter ones. then sa katawan mahaba and slim... slim hinde tight fit.. this creates slimmer and longer body. si dwayne johnson aka the rock & jason statham know a thing or 2 about proper fit, kahit muscular maganda p rin dalhin ang damit.
hanapin ko ulit ung article sa GQ, sample nila si apollo ohno whose muscular & horatio sainz na mataba pero perfect slim fit ng suit.

Masyadong malaki tong binili na diaper para sakin lol. 33-42 ang size pero 32 lang yata waistline ko.

Naku hirap talaga. Kontrol sa pagkain (dami pa naman masarap na pagkain dito), mahirap mag poop ng madami eh chaka dapat healthy foods. Tapos nakahiga lagi, minsan walking din para may exercise kahit konte pero yung usual na pagupo di ko pa ginagawa mejo nakaka alangan lang kasi baka mabigla yung wetpacks ko hahaha. Pero okay na rin at least nalagpasan ko to, todo ingat mode lang ako ngayon 8)

Hahaha syempre adult diaper suot ko. Kung pambaby e di mas na aggravate pa to. Nasa kwarto naman ako so okay lang walang shorts ayaw ko kasi ng doble doble hehee. Pag lumalabas ako nag shorts ako pagbigay galang :D

thanks hiei pero bitin kasi puro suit lang ang feature. Di ako nagsusuot ng suit dito ;D ewan ko ba wardrobe ko puro polo shirts, tshirts, jeans at cargo shorts lang. Long sleeves, polos at slacks nasa cabinet lang untouched for years. Accessories watch lang at baseball cap.
applicable naman ang explanation ng fit to any clothing, kahit tees lang at jeans since it discusses the basics of right sizes in reference of the person's body type... additional detail na lang about the lapels, sleeves, lengths for the suit. but basically same principle on all clothing :)

from your description, yup...seems to be too tight esp if there's no room around your thighs... we have the same predicament kaya hirap maghanap ng jeans/pants that will suit our body type. nangyari kasi the waist are small then pagdating sa thighs super sikip, sayang naman kung palaging baggy suot natin. kaya solution is to find the right fit. the key is check the thighs and knee... may bench selvage ako na sakto sa thighs pero sumikip sa knees down to calves... kaya obvious pa rin na malaki legs.
yung suot ko tapered, parang slim straight.... ample room for my thighs but it tapers down to the leg openning/hem. pure denim btw no stretchable component like lycra na madalas sa mga skinny jeans. check levis 514, slim straight yan sakto sa thighs then tapers sa leg down.... 511 skinny, litaw thighs natin jan pero kung 1 size bigger ok na... 510, kahit 3sizes up malaki pa rin since super skinny model ng levis.
currently, off ako sa buhat mag-1month na :( including riding my bike. pagbalik ko di na ko mag-heavy sa legs and even chest.... sa biceps tinigilan ko since my program is mostly compound exercises. sa back na lang ako mag-heavy dahil wala pa ako nung thickness :( from your avatar, fitting lang ng damit kelangan mo gawin, you look lean parang model kaya di dapat mahirap maghanap ng damit :) recently ko nga lang na-realize... lahat ng damit are made for the 'taller and leaner' populace... parang di kasama ang pandak, macho , mataba or the rest of the public >:(

sa shoes, depende sa current wardrobe mo... safest and every guy's must have are chucks or purcells, very versatile pwede sa jeans, shorts, khakis and even slacks/dress pants. ok rin classic vans same with chucks. yung nike trainer ko isa sa mga sapatos ng nike na madaling i-match. check mo rin adidas samba na black then white stripes, pwde sa lahat and it even still look good w/ a suit.

Black shoes pala kami. Last year, white shoes kami. :-) ang white shoes kasi as uniform in the medical field, ay for medical clerks or junior interns, or for nurses. :-)

Black canvas belt na may manipis na green and red stripes. Mukha kasing Gucci kahit mumurahin lang lol, tska V-Day so yun na yung red accent. Then brown Pedro loafers. Thank you hiei. Bro by dry did you mean raw? I think they're washed; I haven't found raw selvedge that's reasonable enough for my budget. Although punta ko sa Uniqlo this weekend to check out some basics. My buff-up program is working and I need stretch material in my trousers. Lol

yup, dry=raw. if it's washed it's possible that's already sanforized so no need to worry about extreme shrinking like APC. baligtad naman sa akin i refrained from bulking-up and focused to be lean. kaya from max OT to crossfit na routine ko :) more function na than form. and hirap to find clothes that fit well... sa pants = masikip na sa thighs then super luwag naman sa waist... same with shirts masikip sa arms and chest/back... pero sa tummy area maluwag.
Onga, I read somewhere that raw would have the propensity to shrink. Eh I don't plan on maintaining my jeans unwashed, not with our sticky tropical weather. I can understand when it's cool, windy and dry like abroad, kaya talaga to maintain unwashed jeans.
Yung tropa ko niyayaya ako sa crossfit. ayoko talaga. hahaha. di ata akma sa akin yung ganun kaintense. Dun ako sa routines ni Jason Ferruggia--konti lang ung cardio tska 45minutes lang: perfect for me. Lol.
Maybe you should visit a tailor more often and take your clothes there! I was able to resuscitate old clothes by having the fit adjusted. I had some of the armholes higher and the tummy area slimmer.
it depends... some dry denim are already sanforized and some are not.. i made a mistake about apc its the other way around. it will not shrink but stretch a lot and the sizing is pure vanity if you're 30 you need 28in.
normally crossfit WODs are just 15-30min routines... the better you get faster you can finish a given WOD. there are benchmarks for noobies na inaabot ng 25min to complete then sa season xfitter 10min lang or lrss pa. the appealing aspect of crossfit is about useable strength, agility, balance, endurance... compared to my old work out i hatdly last sa trail but with crossfit nakakatagal an ako and i can run on better phase and much longer even matgal nawala di sobra magdiminish ang performance... may mga benchmark WOD that assess ones performance.
yup i have my tailor but to some extent lang coz it ruins the aesthetic kung sobra. hmmmm they can raise the armhole??! interesting kasi you need to add cloth in order make the armhole higher.

oh must either be the 116610 or 16610 then, i love the classic sub look that hardly change on the 14060M compared to sub dates. though most of my friends opted the sub dates and some loved the ceramic 116610 because of the bulk compared to sleekness of the old 16610. either way subs are excellent piece... if i'll pick just one watch to wear, it'll be my 14060M :)
