Question:
Saan ka nagbabangko?
Option 1: BPI
Option 2: BDO
Option 3: Metrobank
Option 4: Chinabank
Option 5: Unionbank
Option 6: Landbank
Option 7: PNB
Option 8: Allied Bank
Option 9: RCBC
Saan ka nagbabangko ngayong 2013 sa kabila ng mayron nang mga bangko last year na nagsara na?
I chose BDO kasi convenient sya.
BDO nga ay open kahit na weekends, (applicable to SM mall branches only).
http://ph.news.yahoo.com/philippine-bankers-bare-massive-atm-scam-065004908.html
tama.
This is for convenience.
^nice! very convenient na pala ang banking ngayon.
anlakas kasi ng dating na after mong kumain sa isang fine dining, walang kang cash. just card (well, now, i prefer debit card linked to my savings account). angas! 8)
^pwede yung ganyan.. Malaki utang mo.
sa BDO
FYI:
ung Allied Bank tsaka PNB merge na!! starting nung monday
Passbook is yung over-the-counter? Mas prefer nila ang cc or cash as mode of payment. Kaya better if you dine sa isang posh na resto, magdala ng pera kung debit card lang meron ka.

sa BDO
FYI:
BPI - Payroll and Personal Savings
Eastwest - Checking account
Metrobank - Savings (pero wala ng laman)
I still have several accounts under different BPI branches.

bakit BPI at hindi ibang bank?
First, what factors do you consider in choosign a bank? This article can help you: http://paycheck-chronicles.military.com/2011/02/01/ten-things-to-consider-when-choosing-a-bank-or-credit-union/

super liit ng interest sa bangkong to.. plus di pa bukas sa weekends unlike mga bank sa malls like chinabank, bpi, at bdo.
well for me im not really looking into big interest, im more on the stability and the creditability of the bank

The interest rates have too small differences for me to consider really.
Earning interests, even in time deposits, isn't really that big. Banks give me the convenience of being inconveniently ready for spending.
guys. recently. nagkaron ng incident about un-authorized withdrawal sa BPI. Yung girl na nag-withdraw. nagulat sya na nawala ang 50k sa account nya pero she have her card. so somebody, copied her card without her noticing.
you've been warned..
card skimming maybe?

I'm still trying to look for articles on it to post here. I forgot where I read one.
Y U No Vote for Chinabank?
Chinabank is a bit scarce in my area. But I've heard that they have great online banking.
bpi and bdo, the best in online banking
si siR marvs endorser ng chinabanK!
BPI and BDO:)
every bank has its pros and cons. pero if u want to have a big interest put your money sa PSbank. simple lang.
Landbank too since it's a government owned bank,
BPI, Metrobank, BDO
sabi lagi ng parents ko, "don't put your eggs in one basket."
PS Bank and BDO.
zOMG! bumaba lalo ang interest ngayon. Damn you, PNoy!
nakita ko lang kanina! ang baba na nga... whoo... laki ng pinagbago. buti na lang nasa TRUST daw ako. sabi ng kahera. still retain the old interest rates and the new publish rates are for new cust.
susyal may trust fund
Loyal customer is the definition. sorry for the jargon. :'(

kaya nga we strategize!

buti pa yung time ni gma. LOL!

zero na nun balance mo di ka magmumulta kasi wala naman ibabawas, mangyayari dyan you have a month para ibalik sa minimum maintaining balance or else magsasara account mo. ok, thanks to this.
recently.. i've been looking at psbank at bpi.. how much na ba ang interest nila?
Pero meron ako BDO (ATM and Bank Book), Landbank, saka UCPB.
The fuck kanina!
Ibig sabihn nito. Pack up nah!
Luv it!
LOL! Pera-pera lang yan!
100? That's the first time i heard of that.

so i went with BPI. been going steady and they have more express teller machines everywhere unlike other banks.

Old school pa rin ang Metrobank.

Same with Landbank. May online yung Landbank pero masyadong limited unlike BPI.
Since 2013, bank ko na ang BPI and so far I am satisfied naman with my banking experience. It has several advantages and disadvantages as follows:
Advantages:
1. They have machine for deposit which is functional 24 hours a day. This is very convenient on my part since I don't have time to deposit especially during banking hours (9-4PM)
2. They have user friendly apps (BPI express online) where you can manage your accounts easily like transfer money, subscrption to UITF and MF, payment of bills etc.
3. They have several ATM and branches nationwide.
4. Regarding credit cards, BPI don't charge interest on the new purchases. Since I always pay my credit card balance at the end of the day thru BPI EOL, I seldom received interest charges.
Before I used to have BDO as my personal bank. Kaya ayun redeem lahat ng investments (UITF) at withdraw lahat ng pera and shift to BPI
6. Easy ang access sa trust fund and mutual fund since pwede na sa EOL and transactions (subscribe and redeem). They also have online flatform for stock exchange trading para naman sa mahilig sa stock trading.
Disadvantages:
1. Mahal and personal loan ng BPI hindi recommended. It ranges from 24-28% effective interest rate grabe ang mahal!
2. For housing loan naman, aside from high interest rate also they have limit accreditation to housing projects. Last 2015, they don't accredit Camella. Since Ayala Corp is the major stockholder of BPI, they prefer Ayala Land owned projects. Pero that was 2015 pa, I think iba na ngayon
3. High maintaning balance for preferred/VIP clients. Unlike security bank, VIP clients should maintain only 100k.
4. Ang hirap magopen ng accouns sa BPI they have a lot of requirements minsan OA na sa dami and I think lahat ng bank ganito din as they are complying with the BSP memorandum. Even corporate accounts ang daming requirements (e.g. SEC permit, BIR forms, corp by-laws etc)
To all finance person out there like me, better to check the advantages and disadvantages of your bank. Kasi almost lifetime mo na din sila makakasama for your career or business journey kaya dapat sure ka sa kanila (parang commitment sa magiging asawa mo dapat sure 😂)

Another Disadvantage in BPI is that they have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE hotline. BPI is known for long queuing. Tagal makakonek para may kausap ka lang.
#BetterBanking at the best ang SB's Gold/Platinum Circle kaysa BDO Rewards Membership at BPI Preferred Client.
