Anyone here who's planning on going back to college this June 2017? Nakaka pressure. I graduated Associate in Computer Science last 2008 pa. And yes I have plans of going back to school but not this soon. But since may memo na ang CHED for those college undergraduates, this is the only chance for us to go back. If not, balik tayo sa Senior High School. I worked for more than 8 years already and now I may have to quit my job by the end of May because I need to go back to school. Sino pa sa inyo ang babalik sa College?

Thank you! Ako din naman e iniisip ko palang nakaka stress na. Pero it's now or never eh. So I have to do it at i-enjoy ko nalang.
Sorry..im really outdated.. tried searching about it. I thnk that memo is too unfair... even the additional CME regulation by the PRc is too impractical.... associate degree is a college degree?.... am i right... for those working abroad... do they have to return in the PH just to get CME to renew their license... that is against the rights to practice which part of our basic rights...

Yes I believe it is. Given that those subjects that I took are college units. Kaya nga dami nap-pressure ngayon e. We were really caught off guard Pero wala e. Ang hirap kasi it's now or never. I graduated high school 2006. No I'm not going back to High School, never. Parang tanga lang kasi..

If graduate kana ng Nursing Sir, okay na yan. You can always go back anytime without having to worry na babalik ka ng Senior high since Bachelors graduate kana. Yung memo kasi is for college undergraduates, high school graduates and associate graduates lang. Wlang matanda sa college Sir. Ako mag 27 na nyan pero tutuloy pa din ako. Yup. I work in a BPO company too. Eh pinangarap ko kasi makatapos kaya baka mag resign din ako sa work to study full time. Pero kung ako sayo if gusto mo talaga mag aral ng Dentistry, go for it! Malay natin yan pala talaga ang destined na maging profession mo.
Sir... malaki na din po ulit yung demand for nursing jobs here and abroad. Bawal na din po yung volunter/training na ikaw magbabayad... try going back sa nursing career.

That same year (june 2014) I decided to study Accountancy since the demand is relatively high and the salary is competitive too. Yun nga lang it is so hard to find a balance. Kumbaga I was juggling work productivity, class comprehension and keeping my body fit. Trabaho sa araw, aral sa gabi :) when i reached higher accounting subjects, di na kaya mag work. Nagfocus nalang sa work.
So kaya ba talaga? I guess kaya naman, pero depende din sa tao. In my case, medyo di kinaya.
Working student? Why not, if you're going back to school may mga subjects ka na na macrecredit so medyo time saving din. If enough naman ang resources to go full time sa studies why not :)

Thank you for sharing pre. Alam ko magiging malaking challenge sakin to. I'm excited to go back to school at the same time kinakabahan. Di lang dahil sa 9 years na nung last ako nag-aral so malamang magaadjust ang utak ko talaga pati nadin sa balak kong mag part time work. Sana nga ma-balance ko at makahanap ako ng part time na trabaho.. Mahirap pero kakayanin! Ung sayo pre kung ako sayo take ka kahit ilang units lang. Basta naigagapang mo lang. May pinsan ako BS Accountancy sya at ayun CPA na. Sarap ng sahod nya!

IIRC, magsstart sa senior high ung mga students na hindi pa nakapag college. Meaning, di totoo yung threat na babalik sa SH kapag d pa nakapagtapos. Kahit college undergrad ka ngayon ok pa. Na-false alarm yung karamihan sa mga contact center agents na undergrad eh wahaha

I called CHED Reg Office 6 last week, sabi daw kung ano yung curriculum na enrol nung start of college yun pa din yung susundin. Ang problema lang kung naka offer yung subjects sa sem na iyon else magiging special class siguro yung kalabasan so mas mahal than regular offering. I think that won't matter anyway.

share ko lang yung akin. nagttake ako ng accountancy ngayon. ito talaga first choice ko simula ng pumasok ako sa college. problema eh yung nanay ko gusto akong magtake ng engineering, kaya nung nasa engineering na ako, puro bulakbol. nagshift ako ng library and information science at librarian na ako ngayon. medyo ginagapang ko lang yung accountancy subjects ko lalo na full time ako sa work. okay naman kasi libre rin tuition. basta makuha ko lang degree ko eh masaya na ako.

^meron din sila CS at IT. at lahat ng Eng'g pwera IE. last time I checked, full tuition fee refund + 5k monthly allowance (this was back in 2010 so malamang tumaas na)

I got plans before (about 3 years ago) pero di natuloy since I started doing self-study and luckily natuto ako on my own. It takes time nga lang though I felt na much better yun approach ko na "hands-on" learning since web and app development ang line ko.
About a year ago, bigla ko namang naisip na magtake ng course in Music - but hindi ko pa napagdedesisyunan until now when is the best time since my work is quite demanding sa panahon. Maybe I can settle this by this year (hopefully).

Some suggested Ateneo and La Salle dahil may night class and mostly weekend class. UP naman depende sa course pero usually full-time.

Usually naman weekends tlaga kapag Graduate studies. Whole day ng Saturday. I think all universities naman ganun. Based ako sa Pampanga e. So I don't know dyan sa Manila kung anong magandang school.
