Title: SAMSUNG PHONES
Post by: van on February 23, 2010, 08:56:13 PM
Well here is the topic to start about samsung phones...

Any advantages or disadvantages of samsung from other phones are considered here..

I'm canvassing kc for a phone to buy. Kaso, I don't know what type of phones are good when it comes to features/quality  ngayon. The latest I've come up with is yung Samsung Omnia nga...

i used to be a samsung phone loyalist.. lahat ng naging phones ko samsung except lately dahil free sa plan at yung isa naman hand-me-down phone, kaya tinanggap ko na rin.

the last samsung phone i had was d900.

not so sure with exact prices but the pro is only around 14k, compared to omnia II which is around 25k ata.. but of course much better features and touchscreen siya.

Samsung has improved thru leaps and bounds
it's now one of the lead players in the Electronic Industry
pati Sony kaya na nya itaobmSony is excellent but in terms of price sobra!
Samsung is among the first to introduce affordable yet classy touch screen phones
lalo na ung Corby Genoa and Marvel Series
although we have the Omnia II which caters to a different market

i'm a samsung convert too, and i have to say that samsung makes some of the most affordable touch screen phones out there that are chock full of features. currently, i'm using an Omnia HD / Omnia i8910; got it last year, and it's still probably one of the more advanced multimedia smartphones around.

Samsung Omnia HD / i8910
NOTES: i'm the kind of guy who likes watching vids while i'm on the go... this phone is a freaking mobile movie house! plus it's an amazing camera too. i didn't even have to bring a camera when i was in the US; my omnia did it all (hahaha!!! endorsement ^^p )
SPECS: 3.7″ AMOLED screen (640×360 pixels), ARM Cortex A8 600Mhz, 8GB/16GB storage - 32GB microSD support, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, 8MP camera, HD 720p @24fps video recording, GPS with aGPS support, FM tuner
(http://www.yugatech.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/omnia-hd-i8910-15.jpg)

here are some new samsung phones featured in yugatech (my fave website for tech updates):

Samsung Monte S5620 - Php11,000+
NOTE: Most bang for your buck phone I've seen so far
SPECS: 3.1-inch screen @ 240×400 pixels, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, 3G/HSDPA 3.6Mbps, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, USB 2.0,
WiFi 802.11 b/g, FM Radio with RDS, 233MB internal memory - up to 8GB via microSD, 3.15 MP camera @ 2048×1536 pixels, GPS with A-GPS support, TouchWiz 2.0 Plus, Social Network Integration
(http://www.yugatech.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/samsung-monte-s5620.jpg)

Samsung B7610 OmniaPRO - Php21,000+
NOTE: Nice, classy phone. I'm not a big fan of qwerty pads though.
SPECS: Samsung S3C6410 800MHz CPU, Dedicated Graphics Accelerator, 3.5-inch screen @ 800×480 pixels, 256MB RAM, 2GB internal storage
up to 32GB via microSD, 3G/HSDPA 3.6Mbps, WiFi 802.11 b/g, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 w/ A2DP, 5MP autofocus camera w/ LED flash, 720×480 video recording @ 30fps, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
(http://www.yugatech.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/samsung-b7610-omniapro.jpg)

Samsung B7300 OmniaLITE - Php15,000+
NOTES: It's got the basics; pretty good for a 15K phone; but it's got a smaller than usual screen... not for a guy with big fingers. It can record FM radio though... that's cool ^^
SPECS: Samsung ARM 1176 667MHz processor, 3.0-inch screen @ 240×400 pixels, 250MB internal memory up to 32GB via microSD, 3G/HSDPA 3.6Mbps, WiFi 802.11 b/g, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 w/ A2DP, 3.15MP autofocus camera, Stereo FM radio w/ RDS, FM recording, GPS w/ aGPS support, TouchWiz 2.0 UI, Windows Mobile 6.1
