Some tips for natural teeth whitening will be of use to you and will not require some extra efforts and expenses. The combination of such ingredients as baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, added to the toothpaste is an excellent remedy healing your cosmetic imperfection. Just use the brush the way you usually do, the only thing you have to do is to put this means on it. After swishing this mix in the mouth for a couple of minutes, rinse it thoroughly. It may seem impossible, but your teeth will surely be whiter after it. But be careful with this solution and do not swallow hydrogen peroxide.

While you are racking your brain over the potential means of natural teeth whitening, you have to perform some things. Put hydrogen peroxide into the bowl, add baking soda little by little. Blend this combination well to get thick condition. You have just prepared the toothpaste on your own. Brush your teeth with it to place this mixture on the teeth surface and not on the gums. If you follow this course for a couple of days within 15 minutes, then you will get amazing result!

There are a lot of natural teeth whitening means in the shops but they really cost much money! At the same time the remedies of home production are by no means worse but they are much cheaper, almost free of charge! One of them is sesame oil, which should be swished in the mouth for a quarter of an hour or so. Subject your teeth to the efficiency of the sesame oil daily in the morning before you brush your teeth, while you are still hungry. This is convenient, because you will not spend money on expensive mouthwash and will get the similar result by means of using home remedies. Besides, you obtain good aesthetic effect in non-hazardous way.

You do not risk your health or future of your teeth. You make them look beautiful by means of safe procedures. Anyway, if you have not yet started your healing course, you can take safety measures right now. All you need is not to consume food or drinks which are in the way of your shiny smile. Yellow teeth as a rule - consequences of your bad habits, such as smoking, much tea and coffee. Natural teeth whitening will put all your worries away because your smile will be fantastic. Do not expect from these means the whiteness of the baby teeth, but they will help you to preserve your health.

The baking soda-hydrogen peroxide combo is very effective but be very careful not to over do it. Both substances are very abrasive and may cause thinning of the outer enamel which will result in hypersensitivity.  Thinner enamel may also result in yellower teeth since the inner dentin layer, which is yellower than enamel, will show through more.

Well, permanent teeth are naturally yellowish compared to baby teeth which have a light blue tinge.  The shade of one's teeth, as with other parts of our body, is dictated mainly by genetics and may also be affected by environmental factors e.g. medicines taken during the development of the tooth bud. Consumption of substances which cause staining e.g. coffee, red wine, also affect our teeth's color. High levels of fluoride ingested during childhood may also affect the shade of the individual's permanent teeth.  Generally, the yellower the shade, the higher the mineral content, so theoretically, yes, stronger ang ngipin ni nanay, but it does not mean that people with naturally whiter teeth have weaker teeth (see genetics).

Bleaching, whether through "natural" at-home methods or through in-office procedures, involves some degree of demineralization.  With that said, teeth which have undergone bleaching procedures, technically have less minerals in them making them "weaker" than teeth that have not undergone any form of bleaching.  Also, the whitening effect of bleaching is not permanent.  The shade of  one's teeth goes back to its original so if one wishes to have whiter teeth, then the bleaching must be done repeatedly, not as regularly as say, professional cleaning, but a certain amount of maintenance is involved when one decides to undergo teeth whitening.

I'm not discouraging teeth whitening, after all, who dosen't want a nice bright, white smile?   ;D I've tried some of the bleaching systems/methods on myself and got good results with all of them. Main difference is, although not by much, is that with the in-office bleaching procedures, results were more consistent (even color change) compared to at-home bleaching (spotty). No hypersensitivity issues either. But after some time, the shade of my teeth returned to what it used to be.

Yellowish ang teeth ko. According to my denstist, natural daw sakin and she added na mas matibay daw un. Hindi rin daw nya recommend na magpa-bleach ako kasi nakaka degrade ng quality daw.

I am currently using Colgate's  new whitening toothpaste, the one that comes in red box packaging. Walang effect hehehe!!

Any method of bleaching involves a certain amount of demineralization which result in weaker teeth. Weaker teeth are more prone to develop cavities and fractures.

Mas importante yung malinis ang buong oral cavity, not just the teeth, para walang bad breath.

Interesting concept yung banana peel (whitening) :)

Oh, one thing, dunno kung paano natin ito gagawin pero, sabi ng sister ko, one trick girls use to make their teeth look whiter is to use a lipstick which contains a blue pigment (not necessarily blue lipstick... you get the drift), which makes me think, diba yung mga whitening toothpaste, may kasamang blue gel stripe? so illusion lang ba na mabilis ang effect ng product kasi may blue component?

So ngayon ko lang nalaman na nagiging brittle pala ang teeth pag ginagamitan ng kung ano anong kemikal bukod sa toothpaste.

Thanks soshiro for the info.

If in general, the yellower the shade, the higher the mineral content, and that without maintenance our teeth go back to become yellowish after bleaching which is not permanent, does that mean that our teeth can "regenerate" its mineral content?

Somewhat related, I've read somewhere that there are cases where the teeth are able to regenerate or grow back from cavities, due to diet or something (fluoride or calcium?). Is this true?

A yellower shade does not necessarily mean your teeth have more minerals.  Genetics also plays a role in determining the shade of your teeth, i mean, if you have whiter teeth than some people, as long as there was no disturbance in its development or you haven't had them bleached, then they're just as strong as yellowish teeth of other people.

"Regeneration/regenrate" may not be the best term to describe it. "Remineralization/remineralize" is more accurate. Fluoride helps A LOT in PREVENTING tooth decay, but once decay starts, there's no stopping it.  Fluoride may help DELAY its progression but ultimately, you need to have the cavity filled.

Now, REGENERATION is a different topic altogether. Some research has been done (not sure if it's still being done now...) where in the scientists were able to make new teeth.  I guess you've seen pictures of how some scientists were able to grow an ear form the  back of a lab rat, so the same concept applies (i guess).  Major breakthrough ito kung totoo :)

I think its more possible to create teeth from stemcells than anything else.

^ Nakakangalay nga.  Dentista na ako, nangangalay din ako sa 2 mins na brushing. Hassle din minsan lalo na pag nagmamadali ka sa umaga to go to work.  Things that might help: listen to/sing (in your head) your favorite song na 2 mins lang while brushing or switch to an electric toothbrush.
