Wow cool, may forums na ulit PGG. Just to start a topic, what do you guys think about scarves for men?

Hey bro...

I think scarves are not for everybody. There are only certain guys (and gals) who can rock it like a rockstar.

Its a great thing to have though during cool rainy days.

I agree. Minsan may binabagayan talaga. Hindi ito pwede pag mainit.. pagpapawisan ka lang  ;D

gustohin ko man, hindi ko kayang dalhin at tingin ko nga hindi bagay. OR kailangan may damit ka rin na babagayan talaga...

sa climate ng Pilipinas, masyadong mainit magsuot nito.

I dunno. But I'm not really into it. Hehe, siguro kasi hindi bagay sa akin. Pero di ko pa natry maglagay. Kanya kanya namang style yan. Hehehe

Haha, I tried it just for the sake of trying to wear it.. but I removed it before leaving the house. It's not just for me..

But I agree na bagay sa ibang tao.

hehe...na try kona to pero sa cubicle ko lang malamig kse pero out of the office hndi na medyo mainit kase.  ;D

yeah i agree to joseph ....pang cubicle lng kasi yan...kasi dito office maginaw some of my officemates anr using to cover their head nad body to warm-up....

oo nga pwede rin. parang yung sa mga girls may sarong? na ginagamit din instead of using a jacket.

kpag pmapsok.. wla lng.. nkita ko kc dming mga guyz na nagsusuot so i tried it..

e mukhang carry naman.. kaya e2.. ahihihi.. ;D

regarding this.. i bought 1 again so i have 2 na.. hehe.. very cheap lng naman.. nkita ko lng dun sa tiangge dun sa ROB nggandahan kc ko.. kaya binili ko na.. un una checkered blue tpos 2nd checkered brown and white...

share ko lng mgnda kung iterno sa shirt lng kc kpag may collar prang d bagay at mainit na sa leeg... tpos kung light un shirt mgnda kung dark color un scarf (vice-versa).. un lng.. hihihi :D

speaking of scarves, natawa ko nung isang araw.. napadaan ako sa SM kasama office berks ko, may nakita kaming security guard na naka-scarf! haha, laughtrip!

i like scarves... and i do think it's a great accessory, especially if you're wearing something rather plain or kung medyo boring yung print (like think stripes). i know that many people think that since we live in a tropical country, wearing a scarf may seem odd, but that's not the case. you just need to choose WHEN you're wearing the darn thing so you don't end up sweating it out like you're in a  sauna.

you can wear it at night when it's cooler, and more humid. if you're wearing a simple v-neck shirt or loose round collar shirt that's either plain white or solid, or has a simple repeating design, then it's a must have to spruce up your look (match it with a nice hat like a fedora, and you're golden!). i like seeing guys who aren't afraid of wearing scarves when it's appropriate.

some no-no's though ---

i love getting scarves from zara (and they're not that expensive too), rustan's men's wear, the GAP (love their new salmon colored scarf), and from greenhills. the scrunched-wrinkled hobo-ish look is very fashionable now in japan and in seoul, and two toned or gradated shades / fade-away designs look ulta-hip too. in terms of material, cotton and wool is the best (so it's cooler and has better ventialation), but i also like rough silk blends too.

you also have to practice wearing or tying a scarf --- there's a certain art to it. but since we're in a tropical country, we shouldn't be trying it too closely to our necks. a loose-tie or a loose round drape would look cool (which is also the reason why you have to look for a LOOOOOOONG scarf... the rinky-dink short scarves sold in SM are just way too short).

Why will you wear a scarf in a tropical country like Ph? WTF.

When you mentioned scarves, there are only two people that popped in my mind: Chuck Bass! or Miranda Priestly! And both are fictional. Although I see people who were "scarves" like those used by people in the Middle East here.
