thanks for wishing me luck!!! about the havs, i acquired them for the past three years na... the time na wala pang hype over these slippers... nagkataon lang na pag kasama ko yung sister ko na bumibili napapabili din ako... :D
ako rin napabili dati dahil lang din sa sister ko. nagpasama siya sa boni high kasi bagong bukas daw yung store dun. tapos bumili, sabi niya try ko rin. nagustuhan ko naman at bumili ako pero isang pair lang hanggang ngayon buhay pa but medyo pudpod na rin.

i got my onitsuka mexico 66 from singapore. doon may mga size 10-12. once nagkasya hindi ko na binitawan.
alam ko si donbagsit dito, gusto niya rin yun.

yes, may friend din ako na sneakfreak. lahat talaga ng colorway kinukuha basta gusto niya. pero same lang tayo maraming shoes but i make an effort to wear all of them. walang trip. usually may order na rin. haha

imo, mas gumaganda at nagkakaroon ng sariling character ang mex66 if it's a bit worn-out. maganda mag-crease ang leather nito for being soft... my only gripe bilis rin maupod ng sole :(

Shoes from BENCH specially the stylish ones are not matibay. the rubber 'melts' when it gets wet, dunno why.

question, yung mga shoes custom made in temperate countries eh most likely designed na suotin sa temperate countries lang? kasi the one I bought in europe eh parang natunaw lang yung sa bandang sole dahil sa init dito...
are these bespoke dress shoes sa saville row? my wife's uncle has one and its pure soft leather, handsewn and you have your own pattern based on your feet.
anong material ang natunaw? i'm thinking it's more of humidity than temperature kasi mataas sigurado ang melting point ng materials na ginamit and will not easily melt kahit above room temp. i guess a cedar shoe tree can help on the humidity problem.

i'm not sure kung mayroon sa mga adidas store or shoe saloon pero noong nasa pinas ako madalas na may display ng orig samba than its newer revision. ako naman di ako maka-tyempo ng samba K... orig design pero done in kangaroo leather and gummier sole.

hmm wala pa naman akong alam na nangyari like this. interesting naman din kasi i was planning to get a pair of superga. (italian kasi haha) and naisip ko rin ito baka hindi maging "compatible" yung shoes with Philippine climate (as compared to Italy) pero 2 na yung stores dito.

aesthetically yes because they copy high end brands like what they did last year where they knocked-off the lanvin trainers. i saw the pictures and it looks the same as the original plus it won't take a big chunk on your wallet.

i'm not sure kung meron pa sila. that was the last pair in adidas podium when they had sale last november. i haven't visited again. i also checked their outlet stores in market market, cash 'n carry, and C5 Petron but didn't find that particular model/design.

......I got many shoes (more than 10 pairs) pero iilan lang ginagamit ko....all of them are rubber shoes karamihan running shoes at iilan basketball shoes.....most of them are nike then iilan adidas at nagiisang skechers at nag-iisang merrel......i buy 2 shoes a year then my next will be this summer for another 2....for sure nike lang un or adidas if may maganda....

......I got many shoes (more than 10 pairs) pero iilan lang ginagamit ko....all of them are rubber shoes karamihan running shoes at iilan basketball shoes.....most of them are nike then iilan adidas at nagiisang skechers at nag-iisang merrel......i buy 2 shoes a year then my next will be this summer for another 2....for sure nike lang un or adidas if may maganda....

how many shoes do i have? hmmm... i have 5 pairs of sneakers (3 nikes, 1 gola, 1 k-swiss), 4 leather shoes (2 black leather slip ons, 1 dark brown slip on, 1 tan slip on, 1 beige moccasin), 1 pair of havs (green and yellow brazil), and 1 thong-type crocs slip ons

i have a couple of favorites...
a) Pedro
b) Sledgers (they have a store in MOA, and i think they also sell them in Rest-o-Run stores)
c) Wade (stylish, but very boorish looking heels that don't seem to match the shoe overall; you just need to be picky in this store; love their bags though)
d) Hush Puppies (comfy classic)
i go for florsheim and ermengildo zegna if i want classier dress shoes... but who goes for those when you're on a budget, right? besides, there are more affordable alternatives.
in terms of style, i go more for slip-ons and moccasins. easier when you're on the go, plus they're generally comfy. boat shoes are currently in vogue, but i'm not partial to it.
style wise — i go for plainer looking shoes that have leather work (cuts and engraving) or mixed tones (leather and suede mixes) as opposed to those clunky looking metal things attached to them. for one thing, it makes the shoe look tacky. second, you don't want those things rusting and damaging your shoe in the long run.
men are supposed to have plainer looking shoes. they're cool, and have a greater masculine appeal. i guess since men wear pants most of the time, we don't get to show off most of the shoe... we just need to make sure what's shown stands out, right?
i agree with the author when he mentions that men buy shoes as a necessity... but it's the kind of necessity that makes a bold statement about who we are. it should fit our personality and our way of life.

yes remember them well. i see men wearing it with white shorts. looks so brit and soo gay. but yes they are fashionable enough for casual and leisure activities.
basically uso na ang mga footwear na walang socks.
hahaha!!! well i guess it depends on what the guy wears as a top. kung tipong muscle shirt, white shorts then boat shoes... oh yeah... that kinda screams gay ^^p
yup. i like wearing canvas shoes with no socks too. pero super ingat lang ako kasi pawisin paa ko; foot powder is always a must. but ankle high socks are always nice too ^^
you can always remedy it with a foot powder/spray.
back on topic - have any of you seen the pacman trainers? quite rare this time as people have succumbed to the marketing ploy. but is it really worth it? i think the very first one last year was a lot better...

i think so too, but it used to be with very loose jeans (hip-hop). now, its paired with skinny/fit jeans with the huge "dila" sticking out..

for me ok ang ginawa ng supra and even big sneaker companies like adidas, nike at puma na gumawa rin ng lifestyle hightops dahil naging affordable para sa nakakarami nasa $100 ballpark ang supra while lanvin $800... though may collaborations rin na like puma x mihara, puma x mcqueen, nike x kanye, adidas x scott, adidas x yamamoto... na nasa presyong designer brands na rin like RAF, lanvin, dior, rick owens.

tanong ko rin ang medrep namin na nakatakbo na sa boston marathon kung anong gamit nya. though it really depends on your foot and the way you run. the best thing to do is to go to a specialty shop for runners/joggers.

Hindi tumatagal ang shoes sa akin. Actually yung Fila last October ko lang siya binili pero nung January pa lang kailangan na palitan.
sabi nga nila LABAHA daw ang paa ko kasi kahit hindi ko madalas gamitin ang sapatos madali ko masira. Now I am planning to buy another pair of shoes. Pang-jogging ulet saka for general use. Hintay lang ako ng sale. hehehehe.

Tama! Thats the point. buying something that is expensive and so called branded seems to be a rip off kung may counterpart naman na same quality and quantity.
I mean why would you buy a Php5k worth of leather shoes kung may alternative naman na same quality diba. I know that sometimes inuuna natin loyalty natin sa brand but there are instances na budgets forbids this. haha.

I remember nung binili ko yung Earthkeepers. Grabe ilang buwan rin ako naghanap sa Metro Manila nito, tapos yung mga Timberland na shops nitatawagan ko. So may Cole Haan pala sa Glorietta. The style is nice. The colors are okay.
Since college I prefer skate shoes or the "hippy" ones.
Most of my shoes are Nike SB Janoski. Then Nike SB Portmore saka Vans din. Yun yung daily wear ko pag sa work or pag gagala.
For training shoes, I prefer Reebok. I bought the CrossFit shoes which suits the intensity of my training.
For running shoes, I think Nike Free Run is still the best option.
