Separation of Corporation and State (Occupy Movement)

I think by now most have already heard about Occupy Wall Street. People in the US are protesting the economic inequality brought about by corporate greed, and how corporate power are influencing the government.



"We are the 99%" is their cry, referring to the wealth gap between them and the top 1%.



This is strikingly similar in the Philippines. Except that, here in the Philippines, the corporation is the government itself.

It's a shame that Filipinos toppled a dictator 25 years ago just to replace it with oligarchs.
