June 29, 2007 is the official day when Apple’s much anticipated iPhone has been released. I wonder if it is already available locally in the Philippines.

Some features of the iPhone:

-A 3.5 inch touch screen so you touch icons instead of a keypad

-Has EDGE and GPRS features, however no 3G which came in to a big surprise to the public and even to mobile phone leader, Nokia

-Costs around 500-600 dollars depending on the amount of flash memory you choose to buy with it. Either 4GB or 8GB

-Has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

-Features a 2 Megapixel camera

Meanwhile, Yahoo! News featured one of the very first few people to own the iPhone after lining up in long queues in the US yesterday.

So are you up for an iPhone? Let’s see who is the pioneer buyer of the iPhone here in the Philippines.

Sadly, this little piece of heaven will only reach us on 2008.

Well, I doubt that a lot of people here would buy an iphone since we can’t really use that with our sim cards 🙂 Haha.

Don’t fret. I have one and there are still glitches to be resolved with the service provider, etc. I still love my ever reliable N70. Plus, the iphone is to bulky and heavier kinda obtrusive to carry in your pocket. It’s like carrying an ipod.

I bought the 8GB for $599 plus tax so around $680 plus the activation, plus…it’s cost me a lot. Now, I’m still hooked with my N70. The N95 I can get it for free if I renew my 6-line contract with a carrier but I learned it’s pretty slow and the battery life sucks. What’s the most sought after handheld device there?
