When I see a pair of shoe that I instantly connect with (which is within my means), I find the urge to buy it instantly.
Not that I’m impulse buyer, but the reason I do that is because it’s so hard for me to find a pair of shoe that I like and is available in my size. Size 12 anyone?
This is what happened when I bumped into the Nike JA 2 Scratch Black Label EP Basketball Shoes which is inspired by NBA player JA Morant.
I fell in love with it instantly when I first saw it in Toby’s Sports SM North EDSA. It is a bit pricey but it’s on sale so I said, why not?
Unfortunately only size 9 was left at Toby’s.
I searched it for it everywhere, only to find that it was available at the nearby Titan Ayala Malls Vertis North.
And guess what? It was the last pair at Titan and it was my size so you can imagine how excited I was. So as you would have guessed, I bought it on the spot (actually my wife did as an advance birthday gift for me haha!).
What I love about this shoe is that even if it is primarily a basketball shoe, it’s also a lifestyle shoe which you can wear as part of your casual getup.
And what’s unique about it is that the Nike “check” logo plus the the “scratch” design are actually layered with Swarovski crystals – yes, you read that right. Swarovski.
It sparkles, glitters and shines in different angles as you walk by. It’s beautiful!
I never thought that I’d buy my first Swarovski not as a wearable piece of jewelry, but as a decorative element for my shoes but here we are. And it’s STUNNING!
