I have been a fan of Campus Radio eversince, and as of Valentine’s day this year they made a huge change on the format. They changed their name from Campus Radio to Barangay LS FM.
I am so disappointed by the reformat. As a guy in my 20’s this is the only radio station I listen to when I’m on the road. From English-speaking DJ’s we get DJ’s who crack corny jokes like those at Love Radio (no offense, that’s my opinion.)
And their music!!!! What a mess. I used to love their alternative, punk-rock, OPM and Pop music that they used to play. Now they play Michael V’s bubble gang anthology songs and all sorts. What a huge change! They used to be the coolest radio station for the youth and they just reformatted. What a waste.
Hope they bring back the old format of Campus Radio. It’s way BETTER!

97.1 Barangay LS is better than Campus Radio 97.1 because the names of the DJs are better than the Campus Radio names of the DJs.
I meant Barangay LS is better because it plays OPM and Rock music, in addition to Pop music. Besides, I like the radio station better.

i’ve been listening to campus radio eversince..but one morning i heard the djs are speaking in filipino i was shocked because i never change the channel of my radio because i really love campus radio..after hearing the “forever” i was shocked and i never listened to them..i wish they bring back the campus radio because its better if thier tarrget are students than mass

I guess it’s time for you to switch to magic 89.9. it’s way better even than campus radio (i think). you would want to listen to mo twister if you like good talks and good music (M-TH 6-9am), or you can also listen to Boys’ Night-out for a good laugh. Sometimes, i also listen to RX but i still refer Magic.
by the way, Boys’ Night-out is also Mon-Thu 9-12 am.

really? anyway i don’t anymore listen to 97.1. i’m into magic, rx and the others…
before i was disappointed that campus radio fully changed. but right now, i realized that magic or rx is much better or even the best radio station (for me).

To quote John Hendrix (who together with Jimmy Jam confirmed the return of Campus Radio on the Net), all you gotta do is to maintain this frequency!

so true. im also a fan of campus radio since elementary, with the cool segments, dj,music and i miss the ‘info pop’.. its a lot better..though many are fond of listening barangay ls today, coz its more ‘makamasa’..
I’m also a big fan of campus radio. but ever since Mike Enriquez took over the station it went from cool to “not-very-so-jejemon-cool” 🙁
