Some of you who have been reading PGG since 2007 may well remember that I used to sell some men’s accessories and men’s shirts at The PGG Store. The PGG Store used to be hosted on Multiply.com and things were pretty awesome back then.
I’ve known many sellers who made some extra cash by doing e-commerce on Multiply and consequently I have some close friends who were able to buy hard-to-find items and awesome deals from online sellers. Unfortunately, Multiply shut down and everything just fell apart.
Thankfully, there’s a new e-commerce platform in the scene which I just recently discovered.
It’s called Shopee. It’s the latest buy and sell mobile e-commerce platform available on your Android and iOS devices. Using the app, what you can do is snap a photo of something you’d like to sell using your camera phone, then upload it to your mobile shop and boom, you have your product published for many potential buyers to see.You can sell pre-loved and brand new items all in under a minute.
I’m still trying out Shopee myself and what I like about it so far is that it feels like the “Instagram” of mobile e-commerce, especially with how you can easily snap a photo, add filters and sell right away. And if you already sell on Instagram, you can easily import your photos to your Shopee store so that more people would see what you’re selling.
Perhaps the best thing about using Shopee is that they don’t have commission or set-up fees unlike other online marketplaces. And to give you peace of mind, their Shopee Guarantee makes sure that buyers receive their items and sellers receive payments. This makes the mobile shopping experience more safe and secure.
On my next post, I’ll be detailing more about my experience, but for now, I’d like you to try Shopee PH by downloading it on Google Play or Apple Store. You can also visit shopee.ph for a quick look on how it works. And dudes, please don’t forget to follow The PGG Store on Shopee for some of Pinoy Guy Guide’s handpicked fashion items on sale.
