Bangs on guys RULE

Since summer is almost over, it’s time to grow back your hair and have a snazzy haircut. So what’s the haircut that still rules these days for men? Side-swept bangs.

Side-swept bangs on men a.k.a “Boy bangs” is one of the best haircuts of this season. Japanese have it. Koreans sport it. Americans imitate it. Filipinos love it. And best of all chicks dig it.

Unlike the emo haircut with unusually long bangs, “Boy bangs” have shorter bangs sweeping on one side of the forehead, almost reaching one’s eyebrows. The cut around one’s head is layered as what was described to me by my stylist. Here are some samples of this hairstyle. This is NOT ME by the way. Image credits and copyright to Raysa.

And don’t forget that having a haircut like this is pretty useless unless you use hairstyling products like wax, moving rubber or styling stick. You will need them to maintain that natural look all day. Truly, Asian hairstyles are the envy of the West!

This cut/style looks good. Any idea where was this done?

Having a haircut is always very awkward for me. The stylist asks what I want and I don’t know what to answer coz I don’t have a goddamn idea what style do I want. Haha. I wish they have a catalog of come sort.

Anyone can recommend a good salon? Not too expensive though.

I have tried this hair, pero daming maintenance haha.. Minsan kapag nagmamadali ako, ang hirap mag ayuz kung ganito buhok.. pero cool talaga sya basta kayang i-maintain… 🙂
Thanks for this Chris…

I have a very similar hair with those of the pics above, Chris.

Yun nga lang, mas maganda ung style sa taas.

The problem with this style is that the maintenance. Grabeh. Everytime I go to the mall, much of my time is spent in preparing and fixing my hair. Tapos when my classmates see my hair na hindi naka wax, they’ll say: Pat, is that you?

haha. Di kasi sila nasanay.. lol..

this assumes medyo makapal ang buhok mo, otherwise hindi ma achieve yung hairstyle na ito.

@ pipo, just bring a picture that you can get from the internet to help you get a good haircut. wala sa salon yan, nasa stylist. basta marunong ok naman. suggestion ko lang yung korean salon, specialty nila yan. kaso nga lang medyo pricey na at 300 up.

yes, takes a lot of time. mahirap kapag nagmamadali na.

Yep, you’re all right. Maintenance is the most difficult part. I have this hairstyle and fixing my hair in the morning is one of the reasons why I sometimes arrive late for appointments.

i can relate to the first comment. I would usually say, “kahit ano po bagay sa akin.” Then the haircutter will usually say “Kalbo gusto mo?”

marami mga hairstyle at haircut na magaganda at mabagay sa looks mo,,, for me prefered ko ang style ng haircut ung layered cut lalo na kung mahaba buhok mo,, para anime looks or png k-pop ang dating,, the best sa mga mall ka or sa mga salon magpa haircut ^_^
