I need tips to fit all my activities in 24 hours

clock

No, this is not a fake post. It’s an honest post of me seeking advice from you, my dear readers.

For the past few days I have been having trouble fitting all of my activities in just 24 hours. So maybe you’re wondering, what on earth am I doing that I couldn’t fit all my to-do list in 24 hours? OK, here’s a list of some of my day-to-day activities.

  • Work – good for 8 hours and is necessary to make a living
  • Exercise / Workout  – for health reasons of course and as a stress-reliever.
  • Blogging – just can’t live without visiting and writing topics on PGG, monitoring the forums and reading as well as answering emails from readers.
  • My Girl – hmmm… LOL.
  • Reading – yeah, I do read books, other blogs and even Internet news.
  • Sleeping/Eating – this is given
  • Hangout with friends  –  I can’t live without socialization.
  • Talking with family members – we’re really close, you know…
  • Other hobbies and projects – they are just plenty.

They do appear to be only a few compared to others, but they totally add up a lot, so if you have some tips to help me (and possibly other readers who are in the same boat as I am), I’d really appreciate it.

  • I feel you man, I go through the same things daily and it used to drive me nuts not having enough time in the day. I would suggest not sleeping or sleeping as less as possible. It worked for me for a while then I just got so fatigued, it was too much.

You can also multi-task like, when you are eating, blog/read at the same time. Workout with friends/family. But thats probably gonna drive you crazy because you’ll never give your mind a rest.

The best advice I think is to just relax and spread things out through out the week rather than the day. I mean the girl, family, food, and sleep would probably have to be daily, but things like exercise, hobbies, and friends can wait until you finish your most important priorities first.

I’ve done all and I trade routines every now and then. I’ve actually just combined all three and it works well. Also I found that being stressed over not having enough time is the worse, just relax, take your time, live life and be happy!

Hope I gave you some useful advice, I know your blog has gave me some…

  • This is also my dilemma last week but then I realized that, often the problem in fitting all activities 24 hours is not with the long list of activities but how I try to accomplish them. I live in an instant gratification culture. I want everything right now. I don’t want to wait. And something that will take two days? Forget about it!

But I realize that most worthwhile things in life do take time.
    Have a nice day!
May the force be with you.

  • if u have extra time guys pray to God nalang,..^^,
cguro khit ilang minute ok n un,. thank him kc binigyan nya kayo ng problemang ganto..^^, ibig sabihin its time na para isingit nyo xa s sBZ skeds nyo..^^, religious ba? hehe binibigyan ko lng kau gagawin tulad ng hingi nyo..^^, cge po sana nkatulong..^^,

  • its easy, trust me. you just have to give up some things or rather un-complicate them. hey chris, you gotta share more on the details – this will make you realize a lot of things. 🙂

  • I remembered being in the same situation months ago, Chris. But, I believe I succeeded naman. Here’s what I did.

    Maximize your time.
    Put first things, first.

Put the most important things at the top of your day’s to-do list, and put the least important things at the bottom.

But, to classify activities as most/least important is subjective. What might be so important to me might not be that important to the other. So, you really have to assess your lifestyle and daily routine and what works best.

Hope I am of help to you.

    🙂

  • DorienG – I agree that sleeping less could be a possible solution but it can really burn you out. I found it more difficult to concentrate on things if I didn’t have enough sleep.

I like your advice of combining all the three of your tips. I will try that and see what happens. Thanks a lot!

Yodz – I think that’s the reason too why I’m having trouble fitting everything in 24 hours. I want to do lots of things all in one day. I guess I could also try postponing some of my less important activities for another day.

miahtots – yeah, possible. I think it would really help too.

    marco – its ok, thanks.

angelo/Bunsoi – I guess I’m doing some things which are less important so I’ve got to review my activities and arrange my priorities.

  • Ay naku pasalamat nga kayu u guys work on regular office hours or if in the case of call center agents regular night shifts. we nurses nga work either 8am-4pm, 4pm-12nm, or 12mn-8am. At least yon ang sched sa hospital namin. I mean our scheds vary from everyday to every other day. basta ur scheds are released on a weekly basis. so pasalamat kayu routine ang scheds nyo for office kami hindi. at wala kayong folks at pasyenteng napaka irritable… times ilang rooms pa yan kng sa ward ka. lahat gusto ng attention. ay naku napaka stressful. off namin ubos lagi sa pahinga at tulog. d naman kalakihan sweldo namin dito samin. hay naku makapag amerika na nga hehehe

  • hmm..I can relate ^^
pero I believe I’m a happy go lucky person, I want my everyday to be different from each other. ^^

though xempre eating & sleeping is a staple

I don’t like planning things cause I end up not finishing everything and then feeling sad because of it. I also don’t just waste my time doing nothing too..I believe everyday has something new instore for us. really.

I think it’s not the sked which is your problem, I think it’s the attitude and point of view in life..it’s not really the amount of things you’ve accomplished in a day..

basta before I do something I ask myself ‘what would it benefit me / others if I do this?’ ‘would I be happy, or make others happy by accomplishing this?’
