Ego Men’s Biker Jacket

Unless you live in the cold mountainous region of Baguio City, there are only a few days in a year when you can wear a jacket as part of your get-up here in Manila. One would be during the cold months of November and December leading up to Christmas. And the other would be during the rainy and stormy months from June to September.

It’s August, and the last few weeks had been really stormy especially in the metropolis. As part of my get-up to work, I decided to take advantage of the cool weather and wear this brown leather men’s biker jacket from Ego Jeans.

Pants from Wrangler, Leather Shoes from Boxfresh

At first look, one would think that this costs over 3,000 Pesos. But Ego is selling them for only 1,700 Pesos at regular prices. But would you believe how much lower I got it?

I was lucky enough to get it for even a much, much lower price of 999 Pesos.  I chanced upon it on sale and I’m glad I didn’t have second thoughts of buying it. It’s one of the best looking jackets that I have in my collection. More pictures below.

The jacket is available in black or brown but I picked the brown one since black is pretty common and I already own a black bomber men’s jacket from Wrangler.  I suggest you try to grab this Ego Men’s Jacket while they are on sale. It’s the style to beat for the rainy season and upcoming “-ber” months.

  • Nice jacket bro. Was thinking the same thing since its rainy season. Thanks for this, will search for a nice and cheap jacket also.

Btw love your blog. Got hooked to mens fashion and this blog first time i saw this a couple of weeks ago.

  • ^^hey Mark. Yes, this is an inexpensive but classy looking jacket. I love it. You should get one too.

Thanks for liking the blog. Welcome to PGG. How did you find about it? Are you subscribed to facebook.com/pinoyguyguide ?

  • DAMN BOY!

Read about leather jackets in another online men’s magazine, and they say that it’s one of the “play-safe” things you can wear to a date when you wanna be simple yet stylish. Pair it with some jeans, a white shirt that fits well, and brogues or boots while you’re at it.

Where was the sale, man? I might pay the place a visit soon.

Not yet but since you mentioned it i’ll go subscribe. Just googled philippines mens fashion and this blog is oneof the top hits. 🙂

  • Hi Chris,

    Nice jacket 😉

However, as with most RTW jackets, there is one huge problem.
The sleeves are too long, yours included.

I have two very nice leather jackets, both suffering from the same issue.I have visited several alteration shops in malls, and none accepts repair for leather jackets because they say they do not have the equipment. That’s all too bad.

Would you happen to know a place that accepts leather jacket alteration?
It’s really an eyesore for me to be wearing a leather jacket with sleeves that reach out way beyond my wrist. ;(

  • Justin – is it coincidence that you just read about leather jackets? LOL.

Anyway the sale is at SM Department Stores. I’ve seen them being sold at SM Makati and SM Mall of Asia at the discounted price.

  • darkstar13 – I know. The sleeves are a bit long. I’ve looked around alteration shops and haven’t found one yet that accepts leather jackets.

  • Typically, a cow leather or genuine leather for bikers jacket costs around P8,000 for the cheapest. I am thinking that you bought synthetic leather instead.

  • Just how reliable is synthetic leather such as this compared to genuine leather? With that price, I would go for it. I’m just wondering about the pros and cons particularly Ego Jeans’ leather jacket. Thanks.

  • Michael – of course nothing beats genuine leather. But this one is good enough and has a reasonable price. It is one of my favorite jackets.

SMH.

  • Call me whatever you want, for all I care. Pero happy pa rin ako para sa yo kasi cheap lang ang mga sinusuot mo, so hindi masyadong masakit sa bulsa mo yung perang inaaksaya mo trying hard to exude class and style but ending up being a fashion victim. Will never ever waste my time again in this “ultimate men’s fashion and lifestyle blog” site of yours. Good luck sa yo at sa pursuit mo ng “class and style”.
